Review of the 2023 Kia Sportage PHEV: A choice that should interest many

In the market for compact SUVs, there are a few cars with plug-in powertrains.

Top of the list are the newly updated Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and Toyota RAV4 Prime for 2023.

Hyundai, the manufacturer of the Tucson and Santa Fe PHEV SUVs, should also be taken into account. Ford offers the SUV Escape PHEV (with only two-wheel drive, however).

In any case, the reasonably unusual appearance of the current Sportage sets it apart from other SUVs in its class without the need of any further deception.

The Sportage is easily distinguished from other vehicles on the road, not even another Kia, thanks to its distinctive grille.

This is notably true of its daytime running lights, which have a boomerang form.

The wide two-screen dashboard of the 2017 Sportage is especially enticing, in part because of those stylish air vents, but also because of how clear it is.

The central panel of the dashboard is touch-sensitive and user-friendly thanks to its big symbols and straightforward applications.
