For some inexplicable reason, Tesla Model Y and Mustang Mach-E were excluded from the $7,500 credit.

The decision by the federal government not to extend the $7,500 tax credit for T

esla's Model Y and the Mustang Mach-E is an unfortunate oversight.

It is unjust for two vehicles, both manufactured by American companies,

to be denied access to the same incentives as their competitors.

It is a poor policy choice that only serves to limit consumer options and penalise potential customers.

The government should encourage the production of electric vehicles rather than stifle it.
