2023 Kia Niro review

The Niro EV is the fastest Niro, with a 150 kW (201 hp) electric powertrain that delivers quiet,

smooth, and satisfyingly swift acceleration for both city and highway driving.

The Sport driving option makes things even more quick and provides an immediate and simple to modify reaction from the accelerator foot.

Both the hybrid and PHEV have a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that

works smoothly and doesn't occasionally feel bogging and surging or clunky while driving at low speeds as some DCTs do.

Driving from stoplight to stoplight is smooth and swift, with no herky-jerky kickdowns for added passing power.

The powertrains of the 2023 Niro have not undergone any significant changes from those of the first-generation cars, although overall economy has increased.
