2023 Kia EV6 Review: Just as practical as it's cool

The EV6 Light, the former base trim, has been retired. Since Kia scarcely produced any, the loss won't be very noticeable.

But the entry-level Wind trim level is now the default and receives a $1,000 price increase, essentially pushing the EV6's base price even higher.

A further factor hurting value is the federal tax credit's termination for EVs made outside of North America (the EV6 is made in South Korea).

That is the bad news, then. The new EV6 GT, a high-performance model with 576 horsepower and

a 3.6-second 0-60 mph time, is an improvement. It is covered in more depth in our EV6 GT first drive review.

It turns out that the cargo space behind the back seat is more than its official measurement of 24.4 cubic feet.

Despite both vehicles claiming to have larger capacity in the back, we were able to store more stuff in the Mustang Mach-E than the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
